World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic is a 2025 MMORPG release by Blizzard Entertainment, marking the latest highly anticipated chapter in the WoW Classic progression ecosystem. Development and Current Status

Released on July 21, 2025, Mists of Pandaria Classic has enjoyed a phenomenally successful run. Unlike the original 2012 release, which famously suffered from a massive, 14-month content drought at the end of its lifecycle, Blizzard has kept MoP Classic on a brisk, highly engaging content schedule throughout 2025 and 2026.

True to the ongoing #SomeChanges philosophy, Blizzard added subtle modernizations to keep the experience fresh, such as new heroic difficulty tiers for classic scenarios and updated rewards for the Brawler’s Guild.

As of May 2026, the servers are actively operating in the thick of Phase 4 (Escalation). The community is currently engaged in the Battlefield: Barrens world event and the Darkspear Rebellion questlines. The tension is palpable as guilds prepare for the impending launch of Phase 5 (Siege of Orgrimmar), which is slated for this summer. Once Phase 5 drops, players will finally invade the Horde capital to dethrone Garrosh Hellscream and explore the legendary Timeless Isle—capping off what many consider the greatest era in the game’s history.
