Development and Legacy

Released in May 2024, Homeworld 3 had a highly polarized reception. On a technical and audiovisual level, the game was widely praised. The Unreal Engine 4 visuals were breathtaking, the scale of the Megaliths was awe-inspiring, and franchise veteran Paul Ruskay returned to deliver another masterful, atmospheric soundtrack.

However, the game faced severe criticism from hardcore fans regarding its narrative and mechanical depth.
