Rockstar Games has launched a coordinated social media campaign teasing the Grand Theft Auto 6 soundtrack, with Travis Scott, Future, Morgan Wallen, Metro Boomin, Yung Lean, and Argentine hip hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso all posting cropped sections of the same piece of official GTA 6 artwork across their respective profiles.

What the Artists Posted

According to IGN, each artist shared a zoomed-in fragment of a larger image produced in Rockstar’s distinctive art style. Travis Scott’s post showed a woman’s heeled feet alongside a caption that directly referenced Rockstar, while Morgan Wallen uploaded a caption-free shot of a pool ladder rendered in the same visual language. Future’s post removed any remaining doubt by showing a sports car bearing a Leonida license plate, the fictional state where GTA 6 is set. Metro Boomin and Yung Lean both shared the identical sports car image on their own profiles, and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso contributed a separate fragment featuring a yacht.

As Push Square noted, the synchronized nature of the posts across multiple artists made it clear these were planned collaborations rather than coincidental leaks. Insider Gaming had flagged Scott’s post early as a strong indicator of a GTA 6 tie-in before the broader campaign became apparent.

What Role Will These Artists Play?

Rockstar has not confirmed whether the featured musicians will appear only on the in-game radio or take on larger roles as characters. The series has a long history of blurring that line: Dr. Dre appeared as a playable character in GTA Online, Phil Collins was written into Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and comedians including Ricky Gervais appeared as in-world performers in GTA IV. Any of the newly teased artists could follow a similar path, though nothing official has been announced on that front.

Separately, IGN reported that actor Stephen Root confirmed his role as character Brian Heder in GTA 6 earlier in the week, though the reveal appeared to be an accidental slip rather than a planned announcement.

Where GTA 6 Marketing Stands

The soundtrack teases are one piece of a much larger promotional campaign that Rockstar accelerated over the summer, which included opening pre-orders and an extensive gameplay reveal that debuted on Netflix. GameSpot had signaled that a significant wave of GTA 6 news was approaching, and this soundtrack rollout appears to be part of exactly that push. With launch sitting roughly two months out, Rockstar shows no sign of slowing the drumbeat of reveals.
