Doom Slayer Joins Call of Duty in Season 6’s Halloween Update
Call of Duty is kicking off its Halloween season with a high-profile crossover: the Doom Slayer is heading to both Warzone and Black Ops 7 as part of Season 6, titled The Haunting, which launches on September 17.
The Haunting Arrives September 17
According to Gamekult, The Haunting update will go live on Thursday, September 17, bringing a wave of Doom-themed content to both titles. The season leans into Black Ops 7’s futuristic, psychedelic tone and its Zombies mode, making the Doom partnership feel less out of place than some of the franchise’s past collaborations. A reveal trailer is already available, confirming the crossover ahead of the launch date.
Two Doom Slayer Skins and Classic Weapons
Players will have access to two separate takes on the iconic demon-slayer. One operator skin draws from Doom: The Dark Ages, the most recent entry in the series, while a second skin brings back the look of the original Doomguy from the 1990s games. On the weapons side, the collaboration includes the Sawed-Off Shotgun, the Crucible Blade, and the BFG, as Gamekult reports. Most of this content will be locked behind a dedicated event pass that goes on sale September 24. One free tier will be available, offering a small selection of Doom-themed items at no cost.

More Content and a Season Finale
Beyond the Doom crossover, The Haunting also introduces a nighttime version of the Avalon map, new multiplayer modes, additional maps, and fresh content for the End Game mode. Notably, Gamekult points out that Season 6 will be the final season for Black Ops 7 before Modern Warfare 4 takes over in early October, making The Haunting the game’s send-off chapter before the franchise moves to its next entry.
