Diablo 4 Switch 2 Bundle Reportedly Launches Days After BlizzCon

Diablo 4 may finally be making its way to Nintendo Switch 2 this September, and it looks like the port could arrive with a generous content package. Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, whose track record includes the original rumor of a Switch 2 Diablo 4 port, now claims the game launches on September 15 and bundles both major expansions into a single release called the Age of Hatred Collection.

What the Leak Claims

According to Eurogamer, the Age of Hatred Collection would include the base game alongside both Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred, the two expansions Blizzard has released under its yearly update cycle for Diablo 4. Video Games Chronicle also reported on the emerging details, corroborating the release date and DLC inclusion information. The rumored price for the collection sits at £63, which converts to a substantial but not unreasonable ask given the volume of content involved.

BlizzCon Timing and a Likely Reveal

The September 15 date lands just two days after BlizzCon 2025, which Blizzard has scheduled for September 12 and 13. That proximity makes the annual event an obvious candidate for an official announcement, though Eurogamer notes that Gamescom, taking place in Germany the week before BlizzCon, is also a possibility. Blizzard used Gamescom to reveal the Diablo 3 Switch port, so there is precedent for the earlier show. Either way, fans should not have to wait long for confirmation.

A Long Wait and a Complicated Context

Diablo 4 launched on PC and consoles in June 2023, and Switch 2 itself arrived in June 2024, meaning a Switch 2 version has been in the air for over a year. Video Games Chronicle points out that the delay likely reflects Blizzard’s focus on completing Lord of Hatred, which released in April 2025. The port arrives at a complicated moment for the broader Xbox organization that owns Blizzard. Recent restructuring has resulted in 1,600 immediate layoffs and another 1,600 roles flagged for elimination before next summer. Blizzard has reportedly been described internally as a top-performing Xbox studio, with Diablo 4 cited as a key driver of that standing, which may offer the team some insulation from further cuts. BlizzCon is also expected to shed light on what comes next for the franchise after the Mephisto-centered Hatred storyline wraps up.
