Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor
DLC for Mafia: The Old CountryMafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor is the story expansion for Hangar 13’s 2025 prequel Mafia: The Old Country, published by 2K and released August 14, 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at $9.99, with the base game required and no inclusion in the Deluxe Edition. Revealed at Summer Game Fest in June 2026, it adds two new chapters to Enzo Favara’s story — set in the snowbound Valle Dorata in the winter of 1905 — and builds them around a name every series veteran knows: Ennio Salieri, the Don of Mafia I’s Lost Heaven, here a young man of honor fresh out of prison and intent on reclaiming what is his.
One note for anyone who searched the name and landed on trophy guides: “Man of Honor” is also an achievement in the base game. This page is about the expansion.

Salieri Before Lost Heaven
The expansion’s pitch is a prequel inside a prequel. Ennio Salieri — whom players of the original Mafia and its Definitive Edition know as the aging Don whose family Tommy Angelo betrays — appears here as Enzo’s new point of contact: sharp, selfish, quick-witted, and openly using everyone around him to earn the money that will carry him out of Sicily and into America. Enzo, newly made and still proving himself to the Torrisi, is pulled into Salieri’s debts and schemes across two chapters in which, as 2K puts it, “loyalty is tested, debts are settled, and every move carries weight.” Reviewers were consistent that the script and performance carry it: the young Salieri is written with the specificity that made the old one memorable, and the two hours work as connective tissue for the franchise timeline — “familiar to anyone who has played the first Mafia,” in GamingBolt’s phrase.
Where It Slots, What It Adds
The chapters sit mid-campaign, after Enzo has earned his place in the family (the FAQ notes some content unlocks through base-game progress), and play as a compact Mafia mission arc: a chase, several stealth sections — including an instant-fail one reviewers found at odds with the game’s thin stealth systems — and set pieces that escalate into open gunfights across new winter environments. The additions are concrete: new firearms and knives (the Rimbalzu throwing knife among them), vehicles, horses, and Charms, plus a Salieri-run layer in Free Ride — towing jobs, stolen-goods runs, tracking contracts, extreme challenges — and more than forty collectibles scattered through Valle Dorata, from wanted posters to stunt-jump markers. What it pointedly does not do is rework the base game: the combat, stealth, and “look but don’t touch” structure that divided critics in 2025 return unchanged.
Verdict
Reviews clustered at 7/10: a worthwhile return for players who loved the base game’s writing and Sicily, fairly priced at ten dollars for two hours plus Free Ride, and thin for anyone who bounced off The Old Country the first time. The honest framing from launch coverage — “returning to Sicily, but not for long” — is the whole review. For series fans, Salieri alone justifies it.
Where to Buy It Today
Man of Honor is sold as DLC on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store for $9.99; it requires Mafia: The Old Country and is not bundled into any existing edition. Play it on a save that has cleared the early chapters, and — if you have never met the man — follow it with Mafia: Definitive Edition to see where Salieri’s road to America ends.
