Georgian Police 2

26 Oct 2011 Released M

Georgian Police 2 (also known as Geo Police 2 or ქართული პოლიცია 2) is a free promotional first-person shooter/adventure game developed around 2011–2013 by a small Georgian team (associated with Storm Bringer Studios / GRed and supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia). It serves as the sequel to the 2011 original Geo Police (Georgian Police), continuing the ministry’s effort to promote the Georgian Patrol Police through video games. Like its predecessor, it is a low-budget, amateurish title that mixes police procedural elements with abrupt shooting action, and it has gained cult “so-bad-it’s-good” status for its weird tone and janky execution.

Core Story & Setting

The game is set on the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia. You play as a Georgian police officer investigating a criminal case. The plot involves solving a crime, interrogating suspects, and dealing with dangerous criminals. Like the first game, it starts with relatively “serious” police work but quickly shifts into chaotic shooting sequences. The narrative is minimal, patriotic, and serves mainly as an excuse for gameplay rather than deep storytelling.

Gameplay and Features

Geo Police 2 is very short and consists of only 3 levels that can be played in any order:

  • Investigation / Puzzle level — Gather clues, interrogate suspects, and solve basic puzzles (multiple choices and paths available).
  • Shooter FPS level — Turns into a straightforward first-person shooting gallery with enemies to mow down.
  • Easter egg / Bonus level — A hidden or joke level for extra absurdity.

The game is entirely in Georgian, but gameplay is intuitive enough that language is not a major barrier. It uses the Unreal Development Kit (UDK), features basic shooting mechanics, and includes some exploration and decision-making in the puzzle sections. There is no multiplayer, co-op, or significant progression system. The full experience lasts roughly 30–90 minutes, making it a very quick curiosity playthrough.

Compared to the first Geo Police, the sequel feels slightly more “advanced” with added puzzle/investigation elements, but it retains the same amateurish charm, stiff animations, and sudden jumps into repetitive shooting.

PC Version (2011–2013, still free in 2026)

This is the only official version — no console ports (Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) were ever released. The game is completely free and available through:

  • Archive.org (as part of the Geo Police Duology)
  • IndieDB / ModDB pages
  • Old Georgian fan sites and portable versions (e.g., gtorr.net)
  • Direct ISO + patch downloads from legacy links (Stormbringerstudios archives)

It runs on extremely low-spec hardware (dual-core CPU, 1–2 GB RAM, basic video card with 512 MB VRAM). No official Steam page exists, but community mods sometimes recreate its police vehicles in other games (e.g., Garry’s Mod or BeamNG.drive). In 2026, it remains fully playable with minor tweaks for modern Windows, though it shows its age heavily. An English translation was rumored but never materialized, and a planned Geo Police 3 was cancelled.

Quick Note

Georgian Police 2 is a rare promotional oddity funded by Georgia’s Interior Ministry. It starts as a police investigation game and quickly becomes a chaotic shooter, much like the first part. Today it is mostly enjoyed for its unintentional comedy, meme value, and status as obscure gaming history rather than for polished gameplay.

If you enjoyed the first Georgian Police (or just like bizarre propaganda-style games), Part 2 is an easy free pickup that takes almost no time to finish. You can download the full duology from archive.org or search for “Geo Police 2” / “ქართული პოლიცია 2” portable versions.
