AVA RE:BIRTH Launches October 28, Clan Wars Coming This Winter

G.O.P has set October 28, 2026 as the official launch date for AVA RE:BIRTH, the free-to-play online FPS built as a direct successor to the long-running Alliance of Valiant Arms. The two games share their launch and shutdown date: as AVA RE:BIRTH goes live, Alliance of Valiant Arms will simultaneously end service after roughly 18 years of operation.

What Launches on Day One

According to 4Gamer, a pre-download for the game client opened on October 23 at 5:00 PM JST. When the servers go live on October 28, players will have access to a player-to-player marketplace called the Trading Post, where in-game items can be bought and sold, and a Battle Pass system that rewards players for continued play. The game itself is structured around team-based gunfight modes that emphasize weapon characteristics and class roles, alongside a new extraction-style mode called Hunting Field, in which players gather resources and attempt to escape the map.

The Winter Update Roadmap

G.O.P has also outlined a post-launch content plan it is calling the Winter Update. The most significant mechanical addition is a cost system, which will apply to every mode except Hunting Field. Each weapon and piece of armor in the game will carry a cost value, and players will face a cap on the total cost of gear they can equip when entering a match. The stated goal is to reduce situations where superior equipment alone determines the outcome of a fight, effectively flattening the power gap between veteran and newer players.

Beyond the cost system, 4Gamer reports that the winter update will introduce a full clan system, a tournament feature, clan versus clan competitive matches, and individual as well as clan-wide rankings. An Event Shop will also be added, letting players spend event-specific currency earned through limited-time activities to claim exclusive weapons not available through any other means. G.O.P has not published specific dates for each piece of winter content, noting that details will be shared as individual updates approach their release windows.

Context: AVA’s Long History

Alliance of Valiant Arms first launched in Japan and built a following as one of the country’s more prominent competitive FPS titles. AVA RE:BIRTH had its Closed Beta Test from October 1 to 7, 2026, and a subsequent play report from 4Gamer described it as a title attempting to return to the fundamentals that defined the original game’s appeal. The new release carries copyright credits for NEOWIZ, VALOFE, and G.O.P.
