FromSoftware’s upcoming multiplayer title The Duskbloods is inching closer to its first public playtest, with download codes now reaching the hands of selected Network Test participants ahead of a four-day window that opens this week exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.

Codes Are Live, Download Is Available Now

According to Video Games Chronicle, participants who successfully applied during the late-July registration period and received confirmation on August 7 can now log back into the Account page on The Duskbloods Network Test website to retrieve their Nintendo Switch 2 download code. With the code in hand, they can download the game client immediately and prepare for the sessions ahead.

Network Test Schedule

The Network Test runs intermittently from August 21 through August 24, with five separate play sessions spread across the four days. All times below are listed in BST.

Date Session Window (BST)
August 21 11 AM – 3 PM
August 22 3 AM – 7 AM
August 22 7 PM – 11 PM
August 23 11 AM – 3 PM
August 24 3 AM – 7 AM

What We Know About the Game

The Duskbloods is an online-only multiplayer title and currently has no confirmed release date beyond a broad 2026 window that FromSoftware established earlier this year. The game is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, at least for this Network Test phase. Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki addressed concerns about FromSoftware’s creative direction back in April 2025, making clear that the studio’s move into multiplayer territory with this project does not signal a permanent pivot away from solo experiences. As VGC notes, Miyazaki stated at the time that the studio still intends to actively develop single-player-focused games, pointing to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring as one example of that ongoing commitment.

For anyone who registered and has not yet checked their account page on the Network Test site, now is the time to do so before the first session goes live on August 21.
