May 21, 2026ZA/UM, the acclaimed studio behind the award-winning Disco Elysium, has officially launched its long-awaited new game: Zero Parades: For Dead Spies.

This marks the studio’s first brand-new title since the 2019 release of Disco Elysium, ending a long period marked by internal turmoil, legal battles, and major staff departures.

A New World from ZA/UM

Zero Parades: For Dead Spies is a narrative-driven isometric RPG set in a decaying, alternate-history world where the Cold War never truly ended. Players step into the role of a “dead spy” — an agent whose mind has been wiped and rebuilt multiple times — navigating a web of espionage, conspiracy, and fractured identities across a sprawling, war-torn city-state.

The game features ZA/UM’s signature deep dialogue systems, complex moral choices, and rich world-building. According to early hands-on impressions, it maintains the studio’s trademark blend of sharp writing, political satire, and psychological depth while introducing new mechanics focused on espionage, memory reconstruction, and stealth.

About Game

  • Genre: Narrative RPG with stealth and investigation elements
  • Perspective: Isometric view
  • Platforms: PC (Steam & Epic Games Store) at launch. Console versions (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) are planned for later in 2026.
  • Price: $39.99 (Standard Edition)

Early reviews have been largely positive, with many critics praising the writing and atmosphere while noting some performance issues on lower-end PCs. The game currently holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam in its first hours.

The launch comes at a turbulent time for the studio, which has been working to regain fan trust following the controversial events surrounding Disco Elysium: The Final Cut and subsequent internal changes.

Zero Parades: For Dead Spies is available right now on PC. Are you planning to dive into ZA/UM’s new world today?
