Publisher 2080 Games and solo developer ANB_Seth launched Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone into Steam Early Access on September 11, 2026, priced at 3,150 yen. The single-player FPS supports both VR headsets and standard desktop play, letting players step into the role of a professional operative taking on a criminal organization called the Collectors.

Story and Setting

According to 4Gamer, players take on the role of a professional agent known as the Gunman, tasked with confronting the Collectors, a criminal group responsible for kidnapping and murdering innocent people. The game draws its tone from action cinema, prioritizing tense, fast-paced gunfights throughout its mission structure.

Content Available at Launch

4Gamer reports the Early Access build includes three Story Missions, a training and speed-shooting area called the Hive, and a Challenge Game Mode featuring two separate modes with leaderboard competition. The combination of structured story content and replayable challenge modes gives players a range of reasons to return beyond the main campaign.

Developer Background

ANB_Seth is not an unfamiliar name in the VR modding community. As noted by 4Gamer, the developer previously created Gunman Contracts – Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, both mods built for Half-Life: Alyx. This standalone release marks a step up from that mod work into a fully independent commercial project published under the 2080 Games label.
