Half-Life: Opposing Force – Save Files for Every Chapter of Shephard’s Tour

This save pack covers Gearbox’s first and biggest Half-Life expansion from the crash landing to the G-Man’s detention, with a save at every chapter of Corporal Adrian Shephard’s story. Sent in to silence the witnesses and clean up Black Mesa, Shephard instead ends up abandoned behind the pull-out line, fighting things even Gordon Freeman never met, and these saves let you drop into any part of that tour.

Saves for All 12 Chapters

  • Incoming — the Osprey flight in, and the crash that starts everything
  • Welcome to Black Mesa — waking up in a makeshift infirmary as the mission falls apart
  • “We Are Pulling Out” — reaching the radio just in time to hear the evacuation order that leaves you behind
  • Missing in Action — cut off in the underbelly of the facility with the stragglers of your unit
  • Friendly Fire — the black ops arrive, and they’re not on anyone’s side
  • We Are Not Alone — the first glimpse of Race X, a second alien threat the main game never showed
  • Crush Depth — the flooded labs and the ichthyosaur pens
  • Vicarious Reality — the Xen wildlife biodomes and the barnacle grapple in its element
  • Pit Worm’s Nest — the waste-processing boss fight against the pit worm
  • Foxtrot Uniform — the shock troopers push back the last Marine holdouts
  • “The Package” — the black ops’ nuke, and the race to stop the cover-up becoming literal
  • Worlds Collide — the portal storm finale against the Gene Worm

The Marine’s Side of the Incident — Opposing Force runs parallel to Half-Life’s second half and keeps brushing against it: Shephard just misses Freeman jumping to Xen, the nuke ties into the ending of the whole saga, and the G-Man watches from the first chapter to the last. Chapter saves make all those crossover moments one load away.

Classic Version — These saves are for the PC release of Half-Life: Opposing Force on Steam, including the 25th Anniversary build. Boot Camp, the optional training course, needs no save and is always available from the menu.
