This save pack covers Half-Life: Blue Shift from the morning tram ride to the drive away from Black Mesa, with a save at every chapter of Barney Calhoun’s side of the incident. Gearbox’s second expansion is the shortest and most personal take on the disaster, a security guard’s fight to get a handful of scientists out alive, and these saves let you drop into any part of that shift.
Saves for All 8 Chapters
- Living Quarters Outbound — the other tram ride, passing a certain suited physicist on the way in
- Insecurity — a normal morning of jammed doors and malfunctioning equipment, right up until it isn’t
- Duty Calls — crawling out of the wrecked elevator into the canals as the facility comes apart
- Captive Freight — the freight yards, the drainage canals, and the rescue of Dr. Rosenberg from the HECU
- Focal Point — the jump to Xen to charge the teleport battery, Barney’s own borderworld excursion
- Power Struggle — restoring power to the old prototype teleporter while the Marines close in
- A Leap of Faith — the final jump as the escape plan comes together
- Deliverance — the teleporter misfire, the getaway, and the ending that leaves Gordon behind
The Other Side of the Story — Blue Shift runs parallel to Half-Life and Opposing Force, and half its charm is catching the crossover moments: Gordon on the tram, the G-Man in passing, the Osprey overhead. With chapter saves, those moments are easy to revisit without a full replay.
Classic Version — These saves are for the PC release of Half-Life: Blue Shift on Steam, including the 25th Anniversary update that bundled it with Half-Life. They are not for the fan-made Black Mesa: Blue Shift remake, which is a separate mod with its own saves.
