Two freebies available right now, and a charming third on the way.

Epic’s weekly giveaway ritual rolls on, and this time around you’re getting two rather different games for the price of absolutely nothing. Havendock and Hyper Echelon are free to claim right now on the Epic Games Store, and you’ve got until 2nd April at 5PM to add them to your library permanently.

Havendock is probably the headliner here. Developed by YYZ Studio and fully released in April 2025, it’s a cosy colony sim set entirely on the ocean — think castaways building a floating town from driftwood and dreams, gradually scaling up to something almost futuristic. It normally goes for £16.99 / $19.99, carries Very Positive reviews on Steam, and — rare for an Epic freebie — it runs on macOS too. If you’ve ever wanted to play city builder while pretending you’re stranded at sea, this is your moment.

Hyper Echelon, from Swiss indie studio GangoGames, is the other half of the pairing. It’s a vertical shoot-’em-up that wears its arcade roots proudly — think classic shmup patterns married to a modern upgrade loop. It supports local co-op, full controller support, and costs $12.99 when it isn’t free. Which it currently is. So.

Then, from 2nd April, Epic hands the baton to Clone Drone in the Danger Zone — a 2021 arena fighter with a premise that’s genuinely excellent: your brain has been transplanted into a robot, courtesy of an alien invasion, and now you’re fighting your way through an arena to take down the Emperor one laser sword at a time. It’ll be free until 9th April.

To claim any of these, you just need an Epic Games account — head to the store, hit Get, and they’re yours to keep forever. No subscription, no catch, just Epic doing its thing.

Havendock and Hyper Echelon are free until 2nd April. Clone Drone in the Danger Zone goes free on 2nd April through 9th April.
