Capitalizing on the massive success of its Fallout TV series, Amazon Prime Video is reportedly preparing a bold new spin-off: a reality competition show inspired by the popular Fallout Shelter game.

According to entertainment insider Jeff Sneider, the unconfirmed project would challenge contestants to act as overseers of a vault (or vaults), managing resources like food, water, and safety to keep a group of “vault dwellers” alive, happy, and thriving — mirroring the core gameplay of the 2015 mobile hit (later ported to consoles and PC).

The show is said to be in early development, with executive production from Jonathan Nolan and potentially Lisa Joy (the team behind the main Fallout series) through their Kilter Films banner, in collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios.

Details remain scarce for now — including the exact format, whether it involves one large vault or multiple, and when (or if) it might officially move forward. The report comes just as Season 2 of the acclaimed scripted Fallout series continues airing on Prime Video, with new episodes releasing through early 2026.

This potential reality series would mark a surprising expansion of the Fallout universe into unscripted television, blending the franchise’s signature retro-futuristic satire with real-world competition.

Stay tuned for more updates as 2026 approaches — the wasteland never runs out of surprises!
