Bloober Team Unveils Layers of Fear 3 on 10th Anniversary – Psychological Horror Returns with Teaser, Novel, and Vinyl Soundtracks

Polish horror maestro Bloober Team – fresh off the acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake – has officially announced Layers of Fear 3, capping the franchise’s 10th anniversary with a chilling live-action teaser during a midnight special stream on February 14-15, 2026.

The reveal, teased via a cryptic New Year’s Eve countdown on layersoffear3.com, dispels fan theories of a Rule of Rose remake, Eternal Darkness reimagining, or The Darkness sequel – confirming an all-new chapter in Bloober’s signature psychedelic nightmare.

Teaser Highlights: A shadowy narrator recites William Blake’s “The Sick Rose” (“O Rose thou art sick…”) by candlelight, amid shifting paintings of a sickly woman and a sewn-mouth figure. A ghostly child “helper” topples art, as sand drains in an hourglass – ending with a Valentine’s warning: “Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait.” Expect Bloober’s hallmarks: morphing geometries, living canvases, and mind-bending exploration – though plot and gameplay details remain sealed.

CEO Piotr Babieno gushed: “Layers of Fear is a franchise coming straight from our hearts… Ten years have passed, but we’re far from saying the last word.”

Since the 2016 original – a painter’s descent into madness that skyrocketed Bloober to fame (LoF2 2019, 2023 remake) – the series has defined first-person psych-horror. No release window or platforms yet (past titles hit PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch 2), but more looms.
